Welcome to Alexia Ross Books and my creative life. I am a writer, calligrapher and graphic artist who has spent decades researching horse history, pedigrees and beautiful manuscripts.
I have a huge back catalogue of journal articles, have contributed to several specialist books and design beautiful pedigrees and tributes for our animal friends. Hand-drawn calligraphy and gold leaf illumination are a growing passion that inspires me to create and exhibit my art.
Explore the growing project that is my website. I might even finish the fantasy novel at some point.
This all started with Arabian horses. My first homebred Arabian mare was with me for 30 years. Her son oversees operations now and my paddocks also contain two of his daughters.
My walls are filled with framed art in inks, paints and gold leaf featuring their names and lineages. They say a thing of beauty is a joy forever. None of them will ever be forgotten.
